President: Pamela Jones. Pam serves as the the Coordinator of Cultural Services at Mary Washington Hospital. She has been part of LUCHA Ministries since 2004, and previously served as the Treasurer.
Vice-President: Marvin Srivastava, Bachelor’s in Social Work, M.Ed, English as a second language, Teaching Certificate. Marvin is an ESOL teacher for the Spotsylvania County Public Schools. She is the Board’s Immediate Past President. She has been with LUCHA since 2004, and also serves as the Program Director for Bridges of Hope.
Secretary: Mary Ellen Durfee, MS and MA, English as a second language, Certified Reading Specialist (VA). Mary Ellen is an ESOL teacher for the Spotsylvania Public Schools. She has been with LUCHA since 2019.
Treasurer: Judy Maggio, BA Biology with MS Project Management credits. Judy is a retired Executive-level Federal Director with budgeting and administrative expertise. She has been a LUCHA volunteer since 2012, serving as a Spanish translator, and then the Project Adelante Program Director until May 2020. Judy also leads a bi-cultural Girl Scout Troop.
Director: Rev. Larry Jimenez, BA, Communications, Master in Theological Studies. He is the Associate Pastor Discipleship and Spanish Language Ministry at Chancellor Baptist Church. He has been with LUCHA since 2020.
Director: Greg Smith, BA Religious Studies, M.Div, MA, Th.M, Ph.D. in Intercultural Studies. One of our original co-founders. Served as a missionary in Costa Rica. Greg is one of the Field Personnel of the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship. Previously served as the Board’s Secretary, and currently the Program Director of the Immigration Legal Services.
Executive Director: Sue Smith, BA Business Administration, M.Div/MSW, D.Min. Licensed Master of Social Work. One of our original co-founders. Served as a missionary in Costa Rica. Currently one of the Field Personnel of the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship.
